Golden Horse Counseling: A Space for Healing and Self-Connection in Complex Trauma
Climbing onto a horse connects us to our deepest desires for safety, freedom, and empowerment. I felt this each time I rode my palomino, Penny, whose steady presence made me feel protected and fearless as we conquered Utah's peaks together. This kind of attunement is powerful in counseling. At Golden Horse Counseling, we understand the healing potential of being fully present with our clients—listening with empathy, authenticity, and undivided attention. Horses do this naturally, offering a model for how we engage with clients, creating a safe space for exploration and growth. Our goal isn’t to fix problems but to foster a space for clients to evolve and create lasting change. As we continue our work in Utah County, we remain committed to nurturing the transformative power of presence, empowering clients to rewrite their stories and move forward with confidence.
